Some of our apps will trigger a message from macOS:

“Support Ending for Intel-based Apps. This version of [Application Name] will not open in a future release of macOS. Learn how to update to an Apple silicon version.”

We have been planning for this for several years now, already leading to the replacement of our reporting apps with new apps:

• Production Clip Reporter replaced Sequence Clip Reporter
• Production’s Best Friend replaced Producer’s Best Friend.

 

We are we well advanced with a replacement translation app that will build on our 15 years of experience in translating between editing apps. It will replace both SendToX and XtoCC and include support for Open Timeline IO.  We are currently on schedule for  it to be available before the end of 2026, well ahead of macOS 2028 in late 2027.

All our other apps are already Apple Silicon native apps and will continue to work for the foreseeable future.
